Booking appointments couldn’t be easier with the Orasis diary. We believe we have the best diary on the market! Unless you tell us otherwise! Or we’ve been told we have the best diary on the market.

• New patients can be added easily and appointments can be made whilst on the phone. It can be on every terminal and can be made in the consulting room by the Optometrist.
• Appointments link conveniently to the patient record card.
• You can duplicate an existing address for family entries. 
• Multiple consulting rooms are catered for and you can create your own column for staff conducting fields, dispensing or contact lens teaches.
• A NEW feature to the system allows you to see when the patient has booked their appointment so, the days of searching for the ‘forgotten’ appointment day and time is over!
• The diary also caters for whatever times your Optometrist currently works to and this includes flexibility with appointment lengths for example every 15 minutes after 3.30pm for children.
• Different patient categories are colour coded so you can run a more effective diary.
• You can view a ‘day view’ to check the current day’s appointments easily and a ‘week view’ for booking appointments.
• An appointment slip detailing the time and date of the appointment can be printed off easily and any practice information for example contact details and opening times can be on the slip.
• When the patient fails to attend an appointment, a letter can be generated to encourage them to book in another time , this is then logged onto their record.
• Advising patients of their forthcoming appointment is a vital service to carry out and with Orasis diary this is ideally done via an SMS message with a gentle, friendly reminder.

Staff Planner

The staff planner icon is on the home page. This allows you to set up the names of the staff in your practice on any particular day. This is very useful for seeing if there is enough staff in if you needed a contact lens teaching session booked in.
